¿Cómo calentar tus bíceps antes de entrenar?

How to warm up your biceps before working out?

A good way to prevent injuries is to warm up your biceps before weight training—here’s how.

Although you may think that it takes too much time to warm up your biceps, the truth is that an inadequate warm-up—or skipping it altogether—can cause biceps tears or other injuries that are very painful.

In any case, it is important to follow these steps to learn how to warm up your biceps properly and prevent injuries.

How to warm up your biceps

Walk briskly or jog for five minutes on a treadmill or outdoors, because before you warm up your biceps, it is important to warm up your entire body and get your blood flowing.

Cross one arm over the other as shown in the figure; rotate your chest slightly and hold this position for 20 seconds. Repeat with the other arm, then move forward and backward, stretching each arm a total of six times.

Use a rowing machine with low to medium resistance for 10 minutes, focusing on extending and pulling your arms slowly but steadily at first, then increase the pace to row faster.

Remove any weight from the bar and set it aside along with the weight collars. Then grip the bar with your palms facing upward and keep your arms straight down in front of you, then curl it toward your chest. Repeat 20 to 45 times at a steady pace, according to your fitness level.

Don't forget to provide your arms with the best nutrients before training, which means adding one of these supplements to your pre-workout nutrition.

Why should you warm up?

Remember that warming up your biceps is necessary to avoid painful injuries that could keep you away from the weights for a while.

So, even though it may not be the first thing you think about before training, never skip it. But are there other benefits to doing this warm-up beforehand?

There is no doubt that warming up will not help you burn calories or build muscle, but it is very important if you want to get the maximum benefit from your workout.

The reason is that a good warm-up will raise your body temperature, which is very beneficial for your muscles. When the temperature of muscles such as the biceps increases, more oxygen can flow through them and, as a result, they can contract and relax more easily.

The warm-up also increases your heart rate, giving your heart the opportunity to prepare you for the intensity at which you will contract your biceps afterward.

Finally, warming up your biceps helps increase blood flow to the muscles and plays a vital role in improving flexibility.

Also, remember to stretch after completing your warm-up exercises. This will help you maintain flexible muscles, which is always an advantage if you want to perform an efficient and effective workout.
