Monki is one of the brands offered by the company Horizon Natuurvoeding (which can be translated as “Horizon of natural nutrition”). It is a Dutch company founded in 1978. It has specialized in offering a complete range of organic nuts, southern fruits and seeds. Its headquarters are located in IJsselstein, a Dutch city stationed in the province of Utrecht.
In total, the Horizon catalog has forty-four species available. Each of their products is offered in packs from 50g to 1000g. This company is quite popular among stores that sell natural foods in the regions of Holland, Luxembourg and Belgium. In addition, it happens that all its offer is labeled with the European ecological label, according to the controls of the EC Regulation Nº. 834/2007.
Horizon's best-known products are nut pastes, nut creams and butters. It is worth mentioning that this company is close to forty (40) years of service (1978-1918), which is why it offers to launch new products on the market to commemorate its four decades of uninterrupted work. The Monki brand initially focuses on the production of nut butter. However, over time it becomes Horizon's most experimental branch, offering new kinds of butter to the public. In this way, it is offering to the market butter versions of: tahini (sesame seed paste), pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, peanut butter mixture with raisins, almonds and hazelnuts. Its offer is wide and reinforces the concept of Horizon as a company dedicated to healthy and natural food.
It must be made clear that Monki , as a brand belonging to the Horizon company, is heir to the tradition of using only products obtained through organic farming. This means that its ingredients are grown without herbicides, pesticides or artificial fertilizers.
